The Award

The William Wiersma Scholarship will provide up to $5,000 per year, for a maximum of four years.
The Scholarship is renewable for up to four undergraduate years, based on demonstration of continued progress toward a Bachelors degree in four years, a GPA of at least 3.0 (on 4.0 scale), evidence of continued good citizenship, and ongoing financial need.
The Scholarship will be remitted directly to the college/university for payment of tuition and fees.
High school seniors who are entering college and returning college students attending accredited U.S. colleges or universities are eligible to apply for the Scholarship.
Scholarships may only be used for undergraduate study and are limited to those seeking a first bachelor’s degree.
Only students whose permanent address is within the Cambria/Friesland, Wisconsin area are eligible.
Award amounts may change from year to year as recipients’ financial situations change. If recipients transfer to a different college, awards will be recalculated to consider the different costs and award packages of the new colleges
